Rolfing® in Seattle — A Hands-on Process for Change

Rolfing, or Structural Integration, is a system of hands-on bodywork that brings the body into a new alignment and establishes better balance, greater flexibility and improved physical abilities. Rolfing works in a series of sessions to release the fibrous and thickened connective tissue (myofascial system) that influences the alignment of the skeletal structure. By releasing the deep soft-tissue of the body, a person realizes benefits that include relief of chronic tension, increased energy, back pain relief, ease of movement, improved posture and a sense of emotional well being.

Unlike massage therapy, Rolfing is focused on making long lasting change to a person’s structure. Massage Therapy is a wonderful modality for relaxation, stress reduction and can treat certain conditions on a more physiological level. It is important to understand that massage therapy and Rolfing are very different.

Rolfing Seattle practitioner Brad Jones brings years of training and hands-on experience to his work, helping people of all walks of life—sedentary, moderately active, and highly athletic—find new joy in using their bodies.

"It is rare to find a person with structural integrity,
a body stacked properly with respect to gravity, free to move."
